Hi, my name is Ab and I use they/them pronouns. I am an assistant professor at Westfield State University and am the lead of our Data Science Program. Students who pursue a degree in Data Science at Westfield will take classes in the Computer Science and Math departments, so you'll find me teaching classes in both of these!

I earned my PhD in Computer Science from Tufts University in 2021. My dissertation research focused on how we can use visualizations to effectively and efficiently communicate data to broad audiences. I am also invested in broadening participation in computer and data science, and have spent the last few years working to make my classroom (and the institutions I work at) more inclusive and equitable.
